Manado– A number of 355 hajj pilgrims who had finished praying in the Holy Land, arrived back in Manado, Tuesday (4/10). All hajj pilgrims arrived from Balikpapan embarkation use two (2) Lion Air Hajj charter airlines.
“The plane JT 3730 carrying a number of 175 passengers, landed at 7:35 WITA. While the next plane JT 3942 carrying a total of 180 passengers, landed 20 minutes later,” said Nugroho Jati General Manager Sam Ratulangi Airport Manado.
The Flight Group 10 carrying hajj pilgrims coming from Districts/Cities such as Manado, North Minahasa, Minahasa, Tomohon, Bolmong, North and East Bolmong, Talaud, Sitaro, South East and South Minahasa.
In the pilgrims pick up group present the Head of Regional Office of the Ministry of Religious Affairs of North Sulawesi Suleman, the Mayor of Manado Vicky Lumentut, and the Head of Public Welfare Bureau of North Sulawesi Provincial Secretariat Bahagia Mokoagouw.
“On behalf of the Governor who is unable to attend, we say welcome back in Manado. Hopefully pilgrimage that have been carried out to get his blessing,” said Mokoagouw inside a plane shortly before hajj pilgrims down.
Meanwhile, the airport management had anticipated the density especially for pickup in the area outside terminal. “We have prepared the aviation security personnel and parking officers to be more alert. Although this is a routine event that is only performed once a year, but it does not reduce our vigilance,” said Jati. He also added that the operation has been running smoothly, “We say also welcome back, welcome gathering with family and friends,” he added. One flight group again, namely flight group 11 with 197 passengers will arrive tomorrow, Tuesday (5/10).
